TATENDA Munhamo, a Chitungwiza-based teacher, is presently juggling careers in education and music.
Apart from being an agriculture teacher, he is also a hip-hop singer and producer.
Known in musical circles as “Tate Beatz”, he recently released a new album titled “Unspoken Thoughts”.
Some of the songs that make up the album are “Moyo Wangu”, “Tariro” and “What a Party”, among others.
“What a Party” is a party song that is likely to get positive rave views from hip-hop lovers.
But how does he manage to juggle the two careers?
“I am chasing two dreams: I want to be the best teacher and at the same time I also want to be a renowned musician. All I am doing is to properly manage my time so that both careers flourish,” Munhamo said.
He urged parents and guardians to encourage children to follow their dreams.
“We cannot all be university professors. Some people were born to be musicians and parents must encourage their children to do things that they are good at. Music and sport are also careers,” says the budding artiste, who was inspired by the late American singer, Tupac.
“Unspoken Thoughts” is his second album, with “Pay My Hustle” being his debut music production.
He is currently in the studio where he is working on his third album titled “Grey Episodes”, which will be released later in the year in time for the festive season.
