THE price of both diesel and petrol has marginally gone down in both US$ and local currency for this month following the latest review by Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA).

ZERA early this year migrated to monthly reviews as opposed to weekly pricing in a move aimed at ensuring stability of fuel prices over a long period.

In a notice to the public, the energy sector regulator announced the reviewing of fuel prices for the month of November, with a litre of diesel going down to US1,74 from US$1,79 and $9 971,19 from $10 032,51 in local currency.

Petrol now costs US$1,56 per litre down from US$1,65 and $8 957,19 from $9 247,71.

The new prices took effect on Sunday.

“The prices are for November based on M-1 and they will be effective up to December 4.
“The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is E20. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices, depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations” said ZERA.
