New fuel prices announced

THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority has announced the new fuel prices for diesel and petrol to US$1.32 and US$1.33 respectively with effect from today (Wednesday).

The new prices were announced today in a statement following the last review of prices which was done on April 5.

The statement reads: “Please be advised that the fuel prices effective from Wednesday, May 5, 2021 are as follows: maximum pump price: Diesel 50 $11.43 and US$1.32 per litre and blend (E20) $112.62 and US$1.33 per litre.

“Operators may sell at prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages. Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum price releases by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter handles.”

In April, ZERA announced that the maximum pump price for a litre of diesel as $111.77 from $110.41, while the price in US$ remained unchanged at US$1.32.
The capped price of petrol per litre was announced as $112.96 from $109.17 and US$1.34 from US$1.30.
