Post Reporter

THE announcement for fuel prices for the week beginning March 28 has been delayed as stakeholders are currently in consultations, the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has said.

This means that petroleum products will continue selling at the prevailing price.

Diesel remains at $213,90 (US1,60) per litre and petrol $213,49 (US$1,59) per litre following last week’s review of the petroleum prices by ZERA as fuel costs went marginally down by US$0,08.

In a notice today, ZERA said it is continuing to monitor fuel prices in the market and provide regular updates.

Reads the notice: “The Authority is currently in consultation with Government and the industry. Therefore, the prices for week beginning March 28 will be delayed. Fuel operators are advised to continue using the prevailing price.

“The blending ratio remains at E0. Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.”
