Government is committed to ensuring Zimbabweans are informed and understand what the Second Republic is doing to improve their livelihoods, a Cabinet Minister has said.

Speaking after touring the Zimbabwe Newspapers (Zimpapers) stand at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) on Thursday, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa said the media should constantly inform citizens on Government business and policies.

“Information is power and we want to make sure that everyone gets to know what Government is doing.

“We are all out there in full force to make Zimbabweans understand what the Second Republic is doing,” she said.

The Second Republic under President Mnangagwa, she added, is working tirelessly to ensure it improves people’s livelihoods.

“President Mnangagwa is working flat out … to make sure we have roads, we have infrastructure, schools, clinics, hospitals and just making sure the welfare of the Zimbabwean citizens gets better.

“A lot of factories are opening up, there is mining and all this is being done so that Zimbabweans can start thinking of working hard in their own country.”
