President Mnangagwa has conferred liberation war hero status to the late struggle stalwart, Cde John Munodawafa Gwitira.
Cde Gwitira passed away on Wednesday.
He was 73.
In a statement, ZANU PF secretary for administration Cde Obert Mpofu said:
“His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has conferred Liberation War Hero status to the late, Cde John Munodawafa Gwitira, who passed away on April 27,2022 and will be buried at the Manicaland Provincial Heroes Acre.”
