NEW: Harare City Council joins vaccination blitz

Online Reporter

THE Harare City Council says it is joining the national Covid-19 vaccination blitz and is targeting to immunise 57 000 people per day until the end of the campaign.

This comes after Vice President and Health and Child Care Minister Constantino Chiwenga announced the national vaccination blitz that commenced on Monday.

The campaign was necessitated by the slowdown in vaccine uptake.

“Council has deployed 181 teams to the mobile #Covid19 vaccination. The target is to vaccinate 57 000 people every day until the campaign comes to an end,” said the council in a Tweet.
