THE Harare City Council, in partnership with TelOne, has launched a call centre in a bid to improve communication between its various departments and residents.

The facility, which is going through final touchups, is meant to help residents report faults and emergencies with ease.

Speaking during a tour of the call centre, Harare City Council head of corporate communications Mr Stanley Gama said: “We are having a partnership with TelOne in a move to improve service delivery.

“Residents will be provided with a short code to dial and calls will be promptly answered and inquiries attended to with speed.

“We expect this to transform the city in a big way. The call centre will be open every day for 24 hours to help residents report faults and other queries.”
