AFTER opening their ZIFA Eastern Region Division One 2023 season with an impressive 4-0 win over Renco Mine last weekend, Manica Diamonds Juniors are hoping to reproduce the good form in Matchday 2 fixtures when they travel to FC Hunters on Saturday.

The team’s coach Hibron “Adhala Chommiey” Makukutu said they are excited with their promising start to the season.

He said they are targeting to maintain their lethal touch in front of goal while keeping clean sheets in pursuit of challenging for honours.

“Credit to the boys for doing the business last weekend. This is the kind of start we were hoping for to give us the much needed confidence for our next matches. However, it only challenges us to work even harder as there is always room for improvement. We are hoping for a better campaign this season as we seek to challenge for honours,” said Makukutu.

He added that as a developmental side, they will continue nurturing talent for their senior side.

Manica Diamonds Juniors largely comprises youthful players.
