NEW: Human remains found at disused mine

Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the discovery of human remains inside a disused mine shaft by gold panners in Bindura on Tuesday.

In a statement, police said the remains were discovered at Botha Mine Kitsiyatota.

“ZRP Bindura Central recorded a case in which human remains were discovered at Botha Mine Kitsiyatota.

“The bones were unearthed by gold panners and had no flesh.

“The remains were taken to Bindura Hospital for post-mortem.”
