The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development will convene an indaba in Mazowe, Mashonaland Central, on Friday to promote goat breeding.

The programme will run under the theme “Transforming the Goat Value Chain for The Future.”

Minister Dr Anxious Masuku is set to grace the event as one of the high-profile speakers.

In a statement, Goat Breeders Association of Zimbabwe (GBAZ) spokesperson Ms Sharon Wadesango said the meeting will give an opportunity to farmers to learn how to manage their herd.

“A panel of speakers and key players in the goat industry will impart knowledge, expertise and tools on goat production, whilst participating farmers will have an opportunity to learn how to manage their livestock, value chain development and trade opportunities.”
