Innovation is key in attaining Vision 2030, Environment Social Governance (ESG) executive director Mr Willard Razawo has said.

Mr Razawo said this during the 8th Zimbabwe National and Responsible Business Achievements Awards held recently.

“The growing recognition of ESG principles as a critical component of business strategy and national development is a testament to the progress we have made.

“As we look to the future, I am excited about the prospects for ESG in Zimbabwe.

“We have a unique opportunity to leverage ESG principles to drive sustainable development, create jobs and improve the quality of life for all Zimbabweans,” he said.

One of the winners, Kamativi Mining Company spokesperson Mr Dumisani Chihoto said their company is promoting the sustainable utilisation of resources.

“We are honoured to receive this prestigious environmental award, recognising our commitment to responsible and sustainable mining practices,” he said.
