UZ Sparks and JBC continued their unbeaten runs in the Harare Basketball Association (HBA) Super 6 league, with yet another dominant performance this past weekend at the City Sports Centre.

UZ Sparks eased past Bunnies 96-36 to cement their place atop the women’s Super 6 log standing, a result that sees them on 10 points from the first five games of the season.

Defending women champions, Vixens posted only their second victory of the campaign, when they eased past Harare City Hornets 47-26, while JBC’s ladies team beat Greenstars 64-50.

With UZ Sparks virtually untouchable atop the women’s division, JBC (9), Bunnies (8), Vixens (7), Harare City Hornets (6) and Greenstars (5) make up the standings.

In the men’s category, JBC also enjoyed a big weekend as they beat reigning champions, Foxes 81-65 to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2022/2023 season.

Bucs narrowly beat Harare City Hornets 74-72, while Leopards Academy emerged victorious over UZ Stars 79-56.

This past weekend’s set of games wrapped up the first round of the Harare Basketball Association Super 6 League.

There are still two rounds of basketball action left, before the league takes a short break for the holidays on December 19, before resuming on January 7, 2023.
