NEW: Joy as comedian finally receives car donation

COMEDIAN MaVery Very, real name Wilson Masakadze, on Friday finally received the vehicle that was donated to him by businessman Wicknell Chivhayo about a month ago.

Masakadze could not take delivery of the car on the day that it was presented to him as he did not have a driver’s licence.

Chivhayo insists that those he is gifting with cars can only take them after producing driver’s licences.

The comedian described the period when he was waiting for the delivery of the vehicle as “hectic.”

“I had to run around to first get a learner’s licence and after that, I started the driving lessons,” he said. “It was hectic. I was doing three or four practical driving lessons per day.”

The Mutare-based actor’s first attempt to acquire a driver’s licence proved to be a disaster.

“Anxiety got the better of me. I panicked and failed to drive through the drums,” said Masakadze. “A close friend advised me to take it easy.”

He finally made it on his second attempt.
