NEW: Katsande on the verge of high-profile move

SOUTH AFRICA – Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande, is believed to be close to securing a high-profile move to PSL newcomers Sekhukhune United, KickOff can reveal.

The Zimbabwean midfielder is currently a free agent after parting ways with the Soweto giants last week.

The 35-year-old had been also strongly linked to Amazulu before reportedly receiving an enticing offer from Sekhukhune.

According to a source close to the PSL newcomers, Katsande has been offered a two-year deal and is expected to put pen-to-paper to finalise the deal imminently.

“Katsande is currently engaged in negotiations with Sekhukhune United. The negotiations are now at an advanced stage,” the source revealed.

“The club is expected to unveil him very soon.”

Sekhukhune United are also home to Zimbabwean players Tapuwa Kapini, MacClive Phiri, Walter Musona and Talent Chawapiwa.

Ovidy Karuru is also reportedly linked with the club. – KickOff
