AI Initiatives: Establishment of a safe space for AI application testing and a fund for AI-focused startups and research projects

AI Governance: Creation of a National Digital Regulatory Committee and an AI Strategy Implementation Office for effective strategy implementation

 

*Approval of the Inter-Governmental Memorandum of Understanding for the Inga 3 Transmission Lines Project*

Project Goal: Develop and implement Inga 3 Transmission Lines Project and promote the reinforcement of existing interconnectors between the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa and the partner countries to facilitate energy trading

Project Significance: The project has the capacity to generate more than 40 000 megawatts of hydropower and necessitates the need to establish a transmission scheme traversing through Zambia, Zimbabwe and or Botswana

Memorandum of Understanding: The Memorandum of Understanding will provide the necessary framework for co-operation between the parties to facilitate the development and implementation of the project
