TAPIWA Samanyanga, the self-styled “King of Kanindo”, has launched his latest offering titled “Rinogarira Dzese.”

The album was officially unveiled in Harare on Thursday last week.

The 10-track album is Samanyanga’s fourth studio effort.

The singer’s lively album launch was attended by fans, promoters, music producers and fellow musicians.

The Ngwazi brothers – Mark and Tindo – also graced the event and performed live.

Samanyanga, who is passionate about keeping Kanindo music alive, was a happy man after the show.

“I am humbled by the support that I got from my fellow musicians and promoters.

“This support will force me to work very hard since I do not want to disappoint the people who stood by me tonight,” Samanyanga said.

Promoter of the show, Munyaradzi “Goldfinger” Makombora of Goldfinger Promotions, said he was equally delighted with the success of the launch.

“It is amazing to have such a big crowd come and support an upcoming musician who specialises in the not-so-popular Kanindo genre.

“The future of this rising star is without doubt very bright,” Makombora said.  On the album, Samanyanga collaborated with a number of artistes, among them energetic dancer Wasu Dakoda.

Apart from his trademark Kanindo beat, the musician also embraced other music genres such as Sungura, Jiti and Amapiano.

Some of the songs on the album include “Tomo Tomo”, “Kudadirana”, “Nditsvode”, “I am feeling low”, “Babie RaJudhas” and “Kadora.”
