KARATE enthusiasts in Kwekwe will have an opportunity to interact with renowned top trainers from the Midlands Province during a self-defence and cancer awareness training seminar at Kwekwe Queens Sports Club on October 26.
The seminar is the brainchild of Midlands karate instructor Sensei Shepherd Ziwira and the Kwekwe community.
The fourth-dan instructor Ziwira said he is looking forward to hosting a successful inaugural self-defence and cancer awareness seminar, which is open to everyone.
“We are looking forward to hosting the inaugural self-defence karate seminar where all the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer or any other form of cancer patients.
“As a karateka, I think it is a good idea to help and raise awareness on the effects of cancer.
“The seminar will not be limited to self-defence but will also encourage participants to get screened early.
“We are partnering with other instructors from the province, and we hope we will have some corporates and well-wishers coming on board,” said Ziwira.
