New leader for Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association

Cde Cephas Ncube from Bulawayo province is the new chairman of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association.

Cde Ncube beat the outgoing chairman Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa, outgoing secretary general Cde Victor Matemadanda and Cde Albert Ncube (Matabeleland North) during election held at the association’s elective congress held in Gweru on Saturday.

Cde Ncube garnered 294 votes, while Cde Albert Ncube was second with 90 votes, Cde Matemadanda came third with 75 votes and Cde Mutsvangwa was last with 11 votes.

Cde Shorai Mangondo was elected vice chairman unopposed.
