Newly established Jidim Entertainment, owned by renowned lawyer Jivas Mudimu, has breathed a new lease of life into Mutoko’s entertainment industry.
A recording studio had already been established by the stable as well as three entertainment hubs in Mutoko’s rural areas of Makaha.
For now, the entertainment hub Jidim Nightclub has successfully hosted a number of dancehall artists including Mostaf, T Makwikwi, and Monyourous just to mention a few that have been fusing with all upcoming artists in Mutoko.
Already the studio has since recorded a musical riddim, named Jidim riddim and they are inviting artists from different districts on Mutoko to come and record.
Locally, from Mudzi and Mutoko they have dealt with T Youngman, Bee Man, and Nigger Notice.
They have already engaged top producer Samcris, who once worked with Chillsport Records and is now working with Samcris Production.
According to the organisers, they will embark on a free recording session from 18-25 November.
Mudimu who hails from Mutoko said they are in the process of engaging established artists to also come and fuse with talented young artists in Mutoko.
“All we want is to bring confidence to upcoming talent here in Mutoko, so by establishing a recording studio we wanted to groom talent as well as curb drug abuse issues,” he said.
With established artists coming, they are having a feeling of the studio and mixing with upcoming artists.
So far they have been approached by the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services to have inmates recorded.
Several artistes have hailed the initiative saying it will go a long way in establishing talent as well as curbing drug abuse.
Mostaff urged all upcoming artists to come and record their songs and pledged to have collaborations
