A local healthcare company, Ivory Medical, recently launched a cannabis-based medicine – CannaQure – designed to relieve symptoms of chronic pain, stress and sleep issues.

It is believed that the product, which is rich in cannabidiol (CBD) and free from psychoactive effects, aims to support people looking for reliable, science-backed options alongside traditional treatments.

Speaking during the launch, Ivory Medical general manager Nash Kadzinga said the products have been developed to adhere to the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe’s rigorous safety and quality standards.

“CannaQure provides a safe, effective and accessible option for patients seeking alternative treatments. We’re excited to offer Zimbabweans a dependable solution grounded in both science and nature,” he said.

The event was attended by healthcare experts.
