A local information and communications technology firm, EduTech, has launched a smart teacher backpack that is suitable for rural schools.
The backpack comes with a projector, WiFi extension, foldable solar system, power bank and 10 tablets.
EduTech chief executive officer Mr Luke Musambasi said: “The goal is to have smart, modern schools even in the rural areas. The system has a mobile solar system and 10 tablets that groups of students can use to do online research. We are trying to make sure that the gap between the rural and urban schools is reduced.”
