THE new-look Makoni Country Club Bar officially opened last Saturday as the hide-out joint seeks to spice-up the entertainment scene in Rusape and Makoni.

Manager of the country club, Andile Moyo, said renovations at the country club were meant to give it a modern appeal.

“We painted and spruced up the club to give it a new feel to blend with our modern vision for the place.

“This is an ideal hide-out for revelers to relax and unwind away from the city commotion.

“We have DStv full bouquets for the sports lovers and indoor games such as snooker and soon we will introduce darts,” she said.

Popular Harare raunchy dancer, Bev and the Sexy Angels officially opened the joint as the star attraction on the evening.

“We aim to organise one show at least once a month bringing the best in the business and Bev definitely set us off on a good start given the huge turn-out.”

Moyo added that one of the reasons of revamping the club was for the preservation of such infrastructures.

She said country clubs were recreational facilities which should remain functional in communities for leisure.
