VICTORIA FALLS will this year welcome a new luxury boutique retreat as tourism operators continue to expand investment in the resort city amid growing demand for premium travel experiences.
The Victoria Falls Safari Collection, operated by Africa Albida Tourism, yesterday announced that its new all-inclusive luxury development, Albida – Victoria Falls, will officially open on September 1, 2026.
The boutique retreat, located in Victoria Falls, will comprise 13 private villas, including two two-bedroom units, targeting high-end international and regional travellers seeking exclusivity and personalised hospitality experiences.
Each villa will feature spacious living areas and private plunge pools, while guests will also enjoy guided access to the iconic Victoria Falls and curated destination experiences.
Africa Albida Tourism director Mr Ross Kennedy said the investment was informed by changing trends in the global tourism market, where travellers increasingly prefer privacy and authentic destination experiences.
“This new retreat is a carefully planned addition to our portfolio. It responds to the demand for private accommodation in Victoria Falls and speaks to the modern high-end traveller that prioritises space and a genuine sense of place,” he said.
Africa Albida Tourism managing director Mr Nigel Frost said the development would further strengthen Victoria Falls’ position as one of Africa’s leading premium tourism destinations.
“Albida – Victoria Falls strengthens our premium offering and supports the growth of Victoria Falls as a premium destination for discerning travellers, while upholding the high standards and exceptional hospitality that define the Victoria Falls Safari Collection,” he said.
The new retreat is expected to become the signature product within the Victoria Falls Safari Collection portfolio.
Inspired by the Albida tree, which is associated with renewal and environmental enrichment, the retreat has been designed to promote relaxation and connection with nature.
The Victoria Falls Safari Collection currently operates several tourism and hospitality establishments in the resort city, including Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites, Lokuthula Lodges, The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show, Victoria Falls Safari Spa and Queen Nandi Place.
