NEW: Man arrested for reselling Govt agricultural inputs

POLICE in Mwenezi arrested a 39-year-old man on Monday for illegally possessing Government-supplied agricultural inputs and reselling them in Mazowe.

Geogina Mandizha was arrested following a tip-off.

In a statement, police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest.

“ZRP Mwenezi swiftly reacted to a tip-off and arrested Geogina Mandizha (39) for unlawful possession of Command Agriculture inputs comprising 67 x 50kgs of fertilisers at Tafara Secondary School bus stop,” he said.

“The suspect was found in possession of 26 x 50 kgs of Superfert Calcium Ammonium Nitrate 27%N, 17 x 50 kgs of Superfert Cotton Top Dressing Calcium Ammonium Nitrate 27%, 2 x50 kgs of Superfert Compound D bulk blend, and 22 Superfert Cotton bulk blend fertilisers.”

Police said the suspect had bought the fertilisers in and around Mwenezi for resale in Mazowe.
