A ZIMUNYA man has been arraigned before the courts on murder charges after he allegedly fatally assaulted his mother over an undisclosed misunderstanding.
Noah Dongorere (58) was not asked to plead when he appeared before Mutare magistrate, Ms Prisca Manhibi and was remanded in custody to April 24.
Mr Thurston Mubvumbi prosecuted.
He told the court that sometime in March, Dongorere assaulted his mother following an undisclosed misunderstanding.
“Dongorere assaulted his mother, Sekai Dongorere after a misunderstanding. The now late sustained deep cuts on the left side of her head and a fractured arm. She later succumbed to the injuries,” said Mr Mubvumbi.
A police report was made leading to Dongorore’s arrest.
