NEW: Man killed over US$20, cellphone

A 52-year-old man was fatally stabbed on Wednesday after four suspects attacked him at home in Lobengula, Bulawayo, and stole US$20 and a cellphone.

In a statement on Thursday, police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said investigations are underway.

“ZRP Magwegwe are investigating a murder case that occurred on June 8, 2022 at a house in Lobengula West suburb in Bulawayo.

“The victim, Langelihle Dube (52), died after four unknown suspects stabbed him on the thigh with an unidentified sharp object,” he said.

“The suspects … stole US$20 and a cellphone.”
