ALL is set for the second edition of the bigger and better The Manica Post Ladies Summer School, scheduled for Friday at Murambi East Villa in Mutare.

Prominent and powerful female speakers lined up to address delegates include legal practitioner, Ms Tabitha Mwayera-Chikeya, properties owner, businesswoman, mentor and writer, Ms Susan Peters as well as Mrs Caroline Marufu-Buwu, a veteran model who won the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe title in 2007.

The event, according to the organisers, is tailor-made to educate delegates on pertinent issues such as inheritance and property rights, business opportunity ideas, grooming and deportment and retirement plans.

The event which is expected to draw women from all walks of life will be held under the theme: ‘You’re Royalty’.

Organisers of the event said the Ladies Summer School is designed to equip women with knowledge and skills that empower them to understand the country’s laws and stand up against gender-based violence.

One of the organisers and The Manica Post Editor, Mrs Wendy Nyakurerwa-Matinde said: “Last year’s event held at Golden Peacock Villa Hotel was a huge success and it covered issues such as unpacking the Marriage Act and inheritance laws, business opportunities, financial literacy, gender based violence and etiquette.”

A ticket is going for US$50 and registration is being done at The Manica Post Building in Mutare.
