MANICALAND has joined the nation in mourning the late executive director of the National Presidential Scholarship Programme and national hero, Dr Chris Mushohwe, with ZANU PF provincial chairman, Cde Tawanda Mukodza describing him as a hardworking and dedicated cadre.
Cde Mukodza said Cde Mushohwe’s contributions to the development of Manicaland and Zimbabwe at large are well documented and deserves the befitting honour of a national hero.
“We have lost a very intelligent and hardworking cadre in Dr Mushohwe. He served the party with distinction as a legislator for Mutare West, Manicaland Provincial Governor, Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development as well as Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister. He also served the party in the supreme making decision, the Politburo as the secretary for economic affairs.
“Because of his dedication to the empowerment of Zimbabweans through education, President Mnangagwa saw it fit to appoint him as the executive director of the National Presidential Scholarship Programme, a position he held until his untimely death. As Manicaland, we join the nation in mourning this dedicated cadre,” said Cde Mukodza.
