SUNGURA musician Mark Ngwazi will commemorate eight years in the music industry by holding a show in the capital on November 11.
The Njanja Express front-man made his debut in 2015 with the album “Zvandigumbura.”
Since then, he has produced five more albums, with the recent being “Nharo Nezvine Nharo”.
Ngwazi’s road to stardom has been a difficult one.
After failing to join Romeo Gasa’s band, he formed Njanja Express in 2013.
In the same year, he took part in the Chibuku Road to Fame competition but failed to make the grade.
Despite the early set-backs, the 34-year-old soldiered on.
His recent album, which was launched in June this year, was a hit.
Ngwazi is grateful to fellow musicians Macheso, Gasa and Simon Mutambi.
“These brothers of mine stood with me from the early days. I am what I am today because of their mentorship skills,” Ngwazi said.
The eighth anniversary celebrations will see Ngwazi play some of the songs that are going to be on his new album, which is set for release next year.
