NEW: Mas Musiq added to Unplugged lineup | Enzo Ishall, Gemma, Voltz JT also in the mix

THIS year’s last edition of Unplugged will be held at Greendale Sports Club on Saturday, with organisers having roped in South African superstar DJ, Mas Musiq to complement a strong cast of local artistes.

The local artistes include: Enzo Ishall, Gemma Griffiths, Voltz JT and Kyla Blac.

As one of the biggest outdoor events in the country, the gig promises to be exciting, looking at the balanced lineup.

There is a bit of something for everyone, with dancehall, hip-hop, RnB, pop and Amapiano being represented.

Mas Musiq is a top-tier artiste, who has been among those leading the line in spreading the influence of the popular Amapiano sound.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, event organizer, Ellinah Chipumha said they were excited to have the artiste performing at Unplugged.

“Mas Musiq is a hugely popular South African DJ. He is Maphorisa and Kabza’s protégé and we are excited to have him join our lineup,” said Chipumha.

“December is all about having a good time and we are sure he will deliver those vibes.

“We have had positive responses and folks are looking forward to the entire lineup.”

Mas Musiq has worked with top artistes including DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Aymos, Sha Sha, Nia Pearl, Daliwonga and Young Stunna, among others.

He has been part of many hit songs including Zaka, Bambelela, Ub’ukhona, Mthande, Nguwe, Phesheya, Shonamalanga and Sengizwileto, just to name a few.

When it comes to live performances, the DJ has been known to deliver mesmeric sets, and will be looking to enhance his reputation when he comes to Harare.
