ZIMBABWE national senior women’s football team, the Mighty Warriors, will play their Cosafa Women’s Championship Group D matches at Wolfson and Madibaz stadiums on Thursday and Sunday.

The 14-team regional competition which kicked off on Tuesday is taking place in Gqeberha, South Africa, until November 2.

However, there have been some changes in match venues due to inclement weather.

The main stadium which was earmarked for the games, the Nelson Mandela Stadium, was damaged by heavy rains and the second option, Gelvandale, also suffered the same fate.

Organisers have promptly moved in to secure the Isaac Wolfson Stadium where Zimbabwe will play against Mozambique in their first group game on Thursday, with Madibaz Stadium hosting their last group tie against Lesotho on Sunday.
