New minimum wages have been gazetted for domestic workers with effect from yesterday by the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.
In the case of workers who do not reside on their work premises, the allowances are $200 a month for accommodation, $150 for transport, and $50 each for fuel, lights and water, a grand total of $500 for all five allowances.
