NEW: Musona, Zemura boost for Warriors

Online Reporter

THE Warriors have been buoyed by the arrival of skipper, Knowledge Musona, who joined the squad in Cameroon on Tuesday.

Luton Town striker, Admiral Muskwe, was expected Wednesday afternoon, as Zimbabwe gear up for their African Cup of Nations finals opener against 2019 finalists Senegal on Monday.

The Warriors will then play Malawi on January 14, before completing their group games against Guinea four days later.

Warriors manager, Wellington Mpandare, also confirmed that AFC Bournemouth key player, Jordan Zemura, is now expected to join camp on Thursday.

There had been doubts over the 22-year-old wingback’s availability due to some Covid-19 issues at his club.

“Musona is already in camp and Admiral (Muskwe) is arriving this afternoon (Wednesday),” said Mpandare.

The other Europe-based players, Tino Kadewere and David Moyo, are already in camp.
