MDC-T leader Mr Douglas Mwonzora has withdrawn his candidature for elections set for August 23 after accusing the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) of mismanaging the election.
Mr Mwonzora was one of the 11 presidential candidates vying for the top job in the land.
MDC is fielding only 24 members of parliament, after 87 were barred by the courts from contesting for failing to file their nomination papers on time when the Nomination Court sat on June 21.
Mr Mwonzora made the latest announcement while addressing a press conference at Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House – the headquarters of the MDC-T – on Tuesday.
