THE visiting Namibian delegation on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security on Tuesday met with Parliament of Zimbabwe’s Portfolio Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
In a statement, the Parliament of Zimbabwe said the Namibian delegation intended to understand the overall mandate of their counterparts.
The delegation also toured the old Parliament building as part of their fact-finding mission.
“The visiting Namibian delegation on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security is currently meeting Zimbabwe Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Foreign and International Trade,” it said.
“Visiting Namibian delegation had a tour of Parliament as part of a study visit to benchmark with its counterpart committee(s) of Zimbabwe in a pursuit to reform its mandate to ensure responsive needs to modern-day electorates and society, as well as improve parliament procedures.”
