NEW: Ndhlovu shortlisted for ICC April player of the month

Zimbabwe Lady Chevrons bowler, Kelis Ndhlovu has been shortlisted for the prestigious International Cricket Council (ICC) player of the month award.

The 17-year-old bowler was shortlisted for the award alongside Naruemol Chaiwai of Thailand and Kavisha Egodage of the United Arab Emirates.

Ndhlovu has been rewarded for an impressive start to her international career. She made her One Day International (ODI) debut for the Lady Chevrons last month, claiming 10 wickets in three matches.

Among Ndhlovu’s major achievements came in the first showdown between Zimbabwe and Bangkok, where she picked up five wickets for 22 runs.

The 17-year-old then followed that up with figures of three for 17 runs, and two for 19 runs in the second and third ODIs, respectively.
