NEW: No sacred cows in anti-littering blitz: EMA

Online Reporter

The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) says the countrywide blitz on people failing to follow proper waste management  will not spare any sacred cows.

In a statement, EMA said the law will descend on all environmental offenders.

“EMA is currently conducting a countrywide blitz to promote the sound management of waste through awareness and enforcement of environmental laws.

“All citizens of Zimbabwe are advised to abide by EMA statutes. The long arm of the law will descend heavily on all environmental offenders,” reads part of the statement.

EMA implored Zimbabweans to participate in the national clean-up programme that is held on the first Friday of each month.

“Do not be found on the wrong side; instead, play your part towards creating a clean, safe and healthy environment,” added EMA.
