NEW: Of DeMbare, Yadah and PSL newcomers

Online Reporter

JUST like Dynamos, Yadah have had an interesting early season fixture.

Both teams were drawn to meet Premier Soccer League newcomers in their opening three matches of the 2023 season.

DeMbare played Hwange and Sheasham in their opening two games, while Yadah beat Greenfuel 1-0 in their first match, before losing 1-2 against Hwange at Baobab Stadium last weekend.

The Miracle Boys now date Sheasham at Mandava Stadium on Saturday, the same day DeMbare clash with another newcomer, Simba Bhora, at the National Sports Stadium.

Although Yadah lost a couple of players, including their coach Genesis Mangombe, during the offseason, they have shown little signs of stress.

Mangombe is now an assistant coach at Dynamos, where he has been joined by star player Tanaka “Kante” Shandirwa.

However, under new coach Expense “Eke” Chitukutuku, Yadah has so far maintained its famous passing game that they exhibited under Mangombe.

Yadah have also been active on Facebook this season, and this week their page showered praises on veteran midfielder Wellington Kamudyariwa, who scored a scorcher against Hwange at Baobab Stadium.

The good thing for Yadah is that they managed to retain last season’s star player Lennox Mucheto.
