NEW: OPC celebrates First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa’s birthday

THE Office of the President and Cabinet has extended heartfelt congratulations to the First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, as she celebrates her 62nd birthday.

In a statement issued by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya, the First Lady was praised for her unwavering commitment to national development, empowerment initiatives and humanitarian work.

“His Excellency the President, Honourable Vice Presidents, Honourable Ministers of State, the Chief Secretary, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Permanent Secretaries and staff in the Office of the President and Cabinet join the nation in celebrating the 62nd birthday of Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa,” reads the statement.

“Your supportive role to His Excellency the President adds great momentum to the pace at which we are making progress towards the attainment of the national vision to elevate Zimbabwe to an empowered and prosperous upper middle-income society by 2030.”

Dr Mnangagwa, recognised for her leadership in various national programmes, serves as the Champion of Women’s Empowerment, Health Ambassador and Patron of the Angel of Hope Foundation.

Her efforts in initiatives such as Environment and Wildlife, Agric4She and National Culture and Heritage have been acknowledged as instrumental in improving livelihoods across the country.

The First Lady was commended for her tireless dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities, including abandoned individuals and victims of drug abuse.

“Your love, commitment and dedication to improving the well-being of Zimbabweans have won you recognition, honour and accolades at both the national and global levels,” reads the statement.

“Happy Birthday MaMoyo! Here is to wishing you many more years of good health and prosperity.”
