At least 10 unclaimed bodies at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals will be given a pauper’s burial if their relatives fail to collect them within 21 days.

In a statement on Friday, the hospital’s public relations officer, Mr Linos Dhire, said only two of the ten bodies have been identified as Thomas Musonza (70) from Goromonzi and Moses Simango (50) from Ruwa.

The bodies have been at the mortuary for the past five months.

“The hospital is requesting relatives or family members of the dearly deceased persons to come forward and claim the bodies and give them a decent burial,” said Mr Dhire.

“The claim period will end after 21 days. The State will give unclaimed bodies paupers’ burial.”
