MANICALAND Provincial Education Director (PED), Mr Edward Shumba, has commended First Class Academy for the great performance of its learners during the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) November 2023 Advanced Level results.
Mr Shumba this week wrote a commendation letter to the institution’s principal, Mr Stephen Mutsongodza.
“We write to acknowledge receipt of your 2023 A-Level results. We were impressed by your great performance in the percentage pass-rate, both quantitatively and qualitatively. You managed to attain one hundred percent in eight learning areas, which was a great achievement. Special compliments to all your teachers for the wonderful effort shown in all learning areas. We urge you to continue with the hardworking spirit and exemplary leadership in the academic world.
“This office has noted with great appreciation that your candidates did exceptionally well, in that 51 candidates scooped 15 points and above. We have also noted that of the 51 candidates, 12 of them obtained 20 points and above. The general picture given by the results shows that the candidates’ performance in all learning areas was commendable. The quality of the results was equally good considering that 186 candidates out of 254 who sat for the exams managed to obtain 10 points and above.
“We are proud of your contribution towards the realisation of the Ministry’s vision and mission. We strongly encourage you to keep up the good work and continue shinning,” said Mr Shumba.
An elated First Class Group of Schools director and principal, Mr Stephen Gwinyai Mutsongodza said: “On behalf of the board and the administration of First Class Group of Schools and indeed on my own behalf, I would like to thank you for your contribution towards this success and great achievement. God bless you and your families.”
