A MAN from Penhalonga, Mutare man has appeared in court for allegedly being intimate with a juvenile.
Andrew Mushukuto (40) pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared before Mutare magistrate, Ms Prisca Manhibi.
Prosecuting, Mr Thaston Mubvumi said Mushukuto and the complainant were in a relationship between October 2021 and February 2022 and slept together on several occasions.
“The accused would become intimate with the complainant on several occasions during that period. The matter only came to light this month when the juvenile’s mother noticed that she was pregnant. After being interrogated, the complainant spilled the beans,” said Mr Mubvumi.
A police report was made, leading to Mushukuto’s arrest.
He was granted $15 000 bail and will be back in court on March 23.
