POET Tinashe Pardon Marunda, affectionately known as Nashiey in the arts fraternity, recently penned a new poem titled “Zim Untold Truth” which speaks about life in high-density suburbs.
Born and bred in Highfield, Nashiey says peer pressure is pushing the youths into crime and drug abuse.
“So many people get confused when they see socialites potraying flashy lifestyles that are not even real,” he told The Sunday Mail Online.
“At the end of the day, the youths will admire that type of life and take dangerous routes to make money.”
Nashiey says he will release nine more poems in the next few months.
These include “After The Burial”, “Lost In Fear”, “Dear Mum” and “Untitled”.
