LOCAL rapper, R. Peels is set to release his fifth album titled ‘Revelations.’
The new album, which is Peels’ fifth album in five years, will be released on October 16.
Among the artists that feature on the album are Voltz JT, Ti Gonzi, Comic Pastor and Celf Made, an American rapper.
Scrip Mula mixed and mastered the album, with Jax creating 11 of the 13 beats.
Rookie producers Boy tricky and Dj Kempaz did the other two beats.
Peels said the latest production holds a special place in his heart.
“I am a prominent messenger and each album is a testimony to my life and those that live around me. The album captures my life experiences, my current mood and how I currently view the world,” Peels said.
The album, according to Peels, also addresses the issues that are currently affecting the local music industry.
Born Tanaka Mungoyo, Peels grew up in Harare’s high-density suburb of Warren Park and was inspired by American artistes Lil Wayne, T.I, Jay Z, Rick Ross, Kanye West and Drake.
‘Revelations’ will be available on a number of digital platforms.
