THE Ngoda Oven, an innovation that has become one of the country’s most preferred tools for empowering underprivileged communities, schools, churches and individuals, recently scooped three awards.

Biznvest, the company which manufactures the Ngoda Oven, was named the best company in manufacturing for 2021 by the Chartered Institute of Project Management Zimbabwe (CIPMZ).

This was in recognition of the huge impact the product had in communities.

Biznvest founder and chief executive officer Mr Aaron Chikukuza also won the CIPMZ 2021 Project Manager of the Year award (Manufacturing).

Last week, the company also scooped the Innovative Business of the Year award during the Zimbabwe Community News Awards that were held in the capital.

“The awards are inspiring my team to work hard. They are also pricking our minds and challenging us to be more innovative and to produce products that will uplift the ordinary person’s standard of living,” Mr Chikukuza said.

Ngoda Ovens are used for baking standard bread and other confectionary products using cheaper and readily available energy sources such as wood, cow dung and charcoal.

More than 3 000 units have been sold to both individuals and institutions.
