NEW: “Roadblocks after morning rush hour”: Government

Police roadblocks will only be enforced after the morning rush-hour period between 6.30am and 10am to “enforce lockdown and keep people safe”.

In a message on his Twitter handle, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Mr Nick Mangwana, however, said the curfew remains from 6.30pm to 6am.

“The current enforcement of lockdown measures has been reviewed. Roadblocks will only start after the rush hours of 6.30am to 10am. Between 10am and 6.30pm, there will be roadblocks whose purpose is to enforce the lockdown and keep people safe. Curfew remains 6.30pm to 6am.”
