NEW: Senate president calls for international collaboration

SENATE president, Honourable Mabel Chinomona, who is attending the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Economic Forum in Marrakesh, Morocco, says recent shifts in the global geopolitical environment has necessitated enhanced collaboration between countries.

In her remarks at the meeting on Thursday, Senator Chinomona said it was prudent that countries collaborate in view of the shifting balances being experienced across the globe.

“Promoting economic cooperation between Europe and the countries of the Mediterranean and the Gulf is a welcome initiative,” she said.

“It becomes more relevant during these trying times when the world is experiencing shifting balances in various fields, such as global peace, health and food.”
