Hilarious comedian Headliner-Q will tomorrow headline a topical show dubbed “Will You Be My Punchline?” at Book Cafe.
The comedian said he would comically explore issues around people like fomer dancer Beverly Sibanda who got born again, Cuthbert Dube and jailed church leader Martin Gumbura.
He will be supported by Comrade Fatso and NAMA award winner Simba “The Comic King” Kakora.
The trio is promising a show of a lifetime. “It is a huge honour performing for the third time at Simuka Comedy. I am looking forward to the show and the laughs, as I am going to be testing out some new material,” Headliner-Q said.
“While everybody is shrieking ‘will you be my Valentine’, we will be shrieking ‘will you be my punchline?’ The Comic King said.
“The show is going to be very topical: We have Bev getting born again, Cuthbert Dube and Gumbura of course. It is a special show we are dedicating to the broke brothers who could not buy their lovers anything for Valentine,” said Headliner-Q.
The art of comedy is growing steadily in Zimbabwe, with some sharp-witted young comedians bringing laughter to many audiences on different stages in the capital. The comedians idea of love and romance however, are what comedy enthusiasts should look forward to.
