Singer and songwriter Takura will on Friday headline the Live in Concert gig that will be held at 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale.
The show will be hosted by Sax Lounge and is a first of its kind in the country.
Local artistes are expected to perform with full bands.
The event seeks to promote and foster growth of local performers.
“Live in Concert is there to promote and showcase our local talents,” said one of the show organisers during a press conference.
Takura, who will be the headline act, said this is a good initiative that will help further develop the local music industry.
“We hope participants will learn a lot in terms of improving their brands,” said Takura. Songstress Anita Jaxson thanked the organisers for giving women a chance to shine.
“I want people to get to know me better and what I am able to offer.
“There are a lot of female musicians out there and with such platforms, they will flourish,” said Jaxson.
